How Lemonade works with your ATS

Lem runs the search up to your first interviews, then hands over to whatever ATS you use.

Does Lemonade work with my ATS?

Lem, Lemonade's AI recruiter, sources, screens and introduces interested candidates, so the person running hiring only does the interviews. Lemonade (makelemonade.io) works alongside whatever ATS you use, or none, through email and files. There is no direct ATS integration. Instead, email any candidate's pack, including their original CV and Lem's screening report, to your ATS's job inbox, or download the shortlist as Excel, CSV or an ATS import file. Once candidates move to in-person interviews, we recommend moving them into your ATS, where offers stay.

What reaches your ATS is already screened: only people who have confirmed their interest reach your shortlist, each scored against your brief with the reasoning shown. The first search is free: 30 days, any salary, no card needed. After that, a Search Fee from £450 for a 30-day search, and no hire fee when you make the offer. Prices correct as of 21 October 2026.

What Lem does before the hand-off

Lemonade covers hiring up to your first interviews. Lem hunts day and night for the best candidates, from three sources: Lemonade's own talent pool, people Lem sources directly, and applicants to the role's job posts. Lem screens every applicant to those posts against your brief, including applicants to adverts you run yourself on Indeed or LinkedIn, as well as the people it sources, and scores each one with the reasoning shown (How Lem stays fair). Its matching is built on more than a million job matches and user feedback, and gets sharper as feedback comes in.

Nobody Lem finds is turned down by software. Applicants turned down automatically are told which check said no and can ask a person at Lemonade to look again. Lem never approaches anyone about a role at a company they have worked for. People Lem finds are approached by email and LinkedIn, and only people who have confirmed their interest reach your shortlist.

  1. Request an intro and we can connect you in minutes. Lemonade introduces you both on one email thread, or asks the candidate to book a call through your own scheduling link.
  2. Interview the candidate. Record your decision and how the interview went in Lemonade.
  3. Move them into your ATS for in-person interviews and the offer. Offers, right-to-work checks and employment terms stay with you: Lemonade does not handle them.

Lem hunts. You interview. When the offer goes out from your ATS, there is no hire fee and no introduction window to worry about (Employer Terms, clause 4.4). Nothing about this is exclusive (clause 6.1): agencies, job boards and referrals can still be used for the same role.

Getting candidates into your ATS

Send to your ATS

On any candidate, choose Send to your ATS and Lemonade emails their pack to the address you give it. The pack includes their original CV and Lem's screening report on that candidate. Colleagues you add to the role are copied in.

Packs work with ATS job inboxes: Greenhouse (Maildrop) and Workable (a job mailbox), for example, give each job its own email address (Greenhouse help, Workable help, both checked 21 October 2026). Send the pack to your ATS's job inbox for that role.

Download the shortlist

The role page has a Download shortlist button with three formats: Excel (.xlsx), CSV (.csv), and an ATS import file (.csv).

The Excel and CSV files list every candidate shared with you for the role, sorted by score, with these columns: name, role fit score, verdict, headline, strengths, gaps, location, can start, looking for, LinkedIn, stage, your decision, your note, tags, notes, interview booked, meeting link, date added and a link to the role in Lemonade. The ATS import file is a generic CSV with first name, last name, email, phone, LinkedIn URL, source and notes.

Import tools differ. Workable, for example, asks you to use its own template without changing the column headings, and its team runs the import, free once on Premier and Enterprise plans (Workable help, checked 21 October 2026). Check your ATS's import instructions first. The export is a copy: nothing comes back from your ATS.

Interviews and calendars

Once you request an intro, Lemonade can put you on one email thread with the candidate to agree a time, or candidates can pick a time through the Calendly, Cal.com or similar link you add to the role. Interviews can also be booked inside Lemonade: offer some slots, the candidate books one, and the booking email carries an add-to-calendar link. Interviews run on your own Teams, Zoom or Meet room link, saved once in Settings. These are links, not a calendar connection.

Why email and files suit a small team

  • Nothing to set up or maintain. There is no connector to install. Packs go to whichever inbox you choose, so a change of ATS means a new address, not a new integration.
  • No ATS needed. Keep the .xlsx shortlist and your interview notes in Excel or Google Sheets. Conversations with candidates already sit in your own inbox.
  • Only screened, interested people go in. The ATS receives only candidates who have confirmed their interest, each with Lem's screening report, rather than every applicant.

Choose Lemonade when

  • The hard part is finding people worth interviewing, and nobody on the team has time to source.
  • Email and files are enough: packs go to any inbox, including your ATS's job inbox, and the shortlist downloads as a spreadsheet.
  • There is no ATS yet, or the ATS should only receive screened, interested candidates.
  • A fixed Search Fee per role suits you, with no hire fee and no introduction window.

Choose a connector-based tool when

  • Candidates must appear in your ATS automatically, with no email or file step.
  • The recruiting team works inside the ATS all day and wants records kept in sync.
  • Someone can own setting up and maintaining the connection.

When a tool with ATS connectors is the better choice

If candidates must appear in your ATS automatically, Lemonade will not do that today. Some tools connect to ATSs directly: Jack & Jill's documentation, for example, lists integrations for Ashby, Workable, BambooHR, Pinpoint and Personio, with Greenhouse "Not live, pending partner review" (https://www.jackandjill.ai/docs, checked 21 October 2026). See Lemonade vs Jack & Jill. Lem works best for hires with more than five years' experience; for junior, hourly or high-volume roles, a job board is usually the better choice.

FAQ

Does Lemonade integrate with Greenhouse, Workable or Ashby?

No. Lemonade has no direct integration with any ATS, and it works alongside your hiring stack rather than connecting to it. Instead, email any candidate's pack, including Lem's screening report, to your ATS's job inbox, or download the shortlist as Excel, CSV or an ATS import file.

How do I get candidates from Lemonade into my ATS?

Two ways. Use Send to your ATS on a candidate to email their pack to your ATS's job inbox or a colleague, or download the shortlist and use your ATS's import tool. Some ATS inboxes, including Greenhouse and Workable, only accept email from senders on your account, so you may need to forward it.

Do I need an ATS to use Lemonade?

No. The shortlist downloads as a spreadsheet that opens in Excel or Google Sheets, where you can keep your interview notes, and the introduction email puts you and each candidate on one thread in your own inbox. Pay as you go includes up to 2 team seats and plans include unlimited seats, so a co-founder can review candidates with you.

Does Lemonade handle offers?

No. Once candidates move to in-person interviews, we recommend moving them into your ATS. Under our Employer Terms (clause 3.4), you remain responsible for your own final assessment, right-to-work checks, the offer and employment terms. Lemonade also does not guarantee a number of candidates or that anyone accepts an offer (clause 3.2).

What formats can I download the shortlist in?

Excel (.xlsx), CSV (.csv), or an ATS import file (.csv) to map in your ATS's import tool. The .xlsx file opens in Excel or Google Sheets. ATS import tools differ in the columns they accept, so check your ATS's import instructions before you upload. The export is a copy: nothing comes back from your ATS.

Can I use Lemonade alongside Metaview or another interview tool?

Yes. Lem sources, screens and introduces interested candidates, you interview them with whatever tool you already use, and you move the hire into your ATS for the offer. See Lemonade vs Metaview.

The first search is free: 30 days, any salary, no card needed. After that, a Search Fee from £450 for a 30-day search (see pricing). No hire fee, on any plan, and no introduction window. We will refund your Search Fee if you don't interview any of our candidates (pay-as-you-go roles; claim within 14 days of the search ending). It is refunded to your original card within five working days. Prices correct as of 21 October 2026.
